Chord Inversions are a fundamental part of harmony; they change the sound of a chord through the intervallic relationships that are created with each inversion and are the base for connecting a chord progression efficiently. It is a basic concept that any composer, performer and/or arranger must learn to manipulate in order to achieve melodies and harmonies that connect seamlessly and that will help them develop the sound they are looking for in their musical pieces and improvisations.
This Book showcases the the base of my teaching method, which is based on creating melodies and phrases with ONLY using chord inversions, in order to get the core for a great harmonic sound when you improvise. Have fun with these 7 exercises!
Also, I strongly encourage you to write your own solos ONLY using and manipulating chord inversions!
